BUXTON are celebrating their first win since their return to the WSRA National Development League after defeating champions Oxford 51-38 at Hi-Edge.

The Bulls have endured a tough campaign so far but are now off the mark with their recent move to bring Jack Roberts back into the sport paying handsome dividends.
Roberts racked up 14+2 from six rides for the home team, whilst No.1 Alfie Bowtell scored 14 from five, dropping his only point to Chargers No.1 Jody Scott in Heat 13.

Luke Harris added 10 for the hosts whilst Scott (13) and Ashton Vale (11) reached double figures for the visitors, but Harry Fletcher was withdrawn after a Heat 5 fall.

Bulls manager Laurence Rogers said: “This was a very much-needed win for us, and we continued our improvement from King’s Lynn a few weeks back.

“Everybody deserved this win from the lads, supporters, track staff and everyone else that works behind the scenes.”
