BRITISH YOUTH REVIEW, WORKINGTON

ROUND 3 took place at Workington with 16 riders taking part over the 2 classes of 125cc Championship class and Support classes.

In the Championship class previous round winners Lewis Hague and Fraser Buckle again made the Final along with Workington Northern Junior League Rider George Climo and the youngest rider in the line-up, 9-year-old Oscar Berwick.

The final heat was breathtaking with first Hague, then Buckle and after 2 laps Climo all taking the lead and it was the home favourite Climo who manged to hold onto the lead and take his first Championship round win in sensational style after crashing during the heats.

The support class was just as exciting with the returning Callum Hague going unbeaten in the heats and going up against previous round winner Aston Knott, Seb Kelly and Jenson Braithwaite in this final 

Knott coming off gate 4 made a fantastic start, and although Hague was on his exhaust pipe for the whole 4 laps Knott did just enough to hold on to claim his second consecutive round win, and Hague held onto second place with the ever-improving Seb Kelly making another rostrum.

The next British Youth Championship rounds for all classes take place at Redcar and Leicester on August 15 and 16 respectively.
