PREVIEW: KENT v LEICESTER (NDL)

KENT stage the first home league fixture of their new Iwade era with the visit of Leicester today (Sunday).

The Lion Cubs were champions in 2019, defeating Kent at their previous Central Park venue in the Grand Final.

Visiting duo Connor Coles and Vinnie Foord are both former Kent riders, with Foord spending the second half of last season with the Royals after Eastbourne’s closure.

Lion Cubs boss Dave Howard said: “It will be a tough meeting as they’ve got strong riders like (Alfie) Bowtell and (Ben) Morley, and Danno Verge as well.

“I do think key for the league this year is going to be grabbing those away points, and after such an encouraging start for us on Saturday, we hope to carry that on.”

KENT: Alfie Bowtell, Jamie Halder, Danno Verge, Joe Alcock, Ben Morley, Chris Watts, Sam Woolley.
LEICESTER: Dan Thompson, Mickie Simpson, Connor Coles, Tom Spencer, Joe Thompson, Vinnie Foord, Max Perry.
