PREVIEW: BERWICK v MILDENHALL (NDL)

MILDENHALL have called on Danny Phillips to stand in at No.1 in their NDL trip to Berwick tonight (Saturday).

Phillips comes in because Jason Edwards is on Championship duty with Eastbourne, whilst rider-replacement is in operation for the injured Jordan Jenkins, who is hoping to return on August 1.

The Bullets give a debut to former Coventry Storm rider Luke Crang, who has replaced Leon Flint in their line-up.

Mildenhall boss Malcolm Vasey said: “Jordan rode with the heart of a lion over the weekend showing immense courage, but has to be sensible as we would not want him out for a long period of time and we fully support his decision.

“Injuries are part and parcel of this wonderful sport and that’s now two riders we are missing from our starting seven.

“We know it will be no easy task at Berwick, but if we can make a faster start than we did on Sunday I feel confident we have a good chance of bringing some points back to West Row.”

BERWICK: Kyle Bickley, Mason Watson, Luke Crang, Kieran Douglas, Greg Blair, Ryan MacDonald, Ben Rathbone.
MILDENHALL: Danny Phillips, Jordan Jenkins r/r, Elliot Kelly, Luke Ruddick, Sam Bebee, Sam Hagon, Luke Muff.
