PREVIEW: NORTHAMPTON v BELLE VUE (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

NORTHAMPTON hand home debuts to their two new signings when they host Premiership leaders Belle Vue at the International Shaleway tonight (Thursday).

Adam Ellis made a stunning first Foxes appearance at Ipswich last week, and Mitch McDiarmid will also be lining up on his new home track for the first time.

The home side have Justin Sedgmen guesting for Nicolai Klindt who is away in Poland, whilst Jason Doyle and Zach Cook miss out for the Aces for the same reason. Northampton also bring in Sam Hagon at reserve as Luke Harrison is out with bruising after a crash at Poole last night.

Mark Lemon’s side are ten points clear at the top of the table, and they bring in Chris Harris to guest for Cook with rider replacement in operation for Doyle.

Northampton manager Chris Adams said: “Belle Vue top the Premiership table and have been in fine form, so it promises to be another exciting night of speedway.

“With Justin in as a guest it means three of our team on the night will be riding the Shaleway for the first time, and it will be interesting to see how they get on.”

Aces boss Mark Lemon said: “We’ve just got to keep our feet on the ground and focus, and keep the process in place, but the away performances from these guys have been really good this year too.

“We go to Northampton on Thursday, so a result down there would hopefully see us further clear at the top, and hopefully we can also win our last home match against Sheffield.”
