PREVIEW: IPSWICH v NORTHAMPTON (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

ROWE Motor Oil Premiership champions Ipswich host newcomers Northampton at Foxhall tonight (Thursday) as both sides look to climb the early league table.

The Witches have been inactive due to the weather since May 7 whilst the Foxes achieved the landmark of their first victory last week as they defeated Leicester on home territory.

When the teams met in Suffolk in the KO Cup last month it was Ipswich who ran out narrow 47-43 winners.

The hosts bring in Jordan Jenkins to guest for Philip Hellstrom-Bangs, with Edward Kennett set to join the club next week, but the visitors have suffered a double injury blow.

Danish duo Niels-Kristian Iversen (ankle) and Jonas Jeppesen (bruising) are ruled out after incidents in their home country on Wednesday, so the Foxes will bring in Chris Harris to guest for Iversen and operate the rider replacement facility for Jeppesen.

Northampton manager Chris Adams said: “We’ve been doing well on the road, and we’ve just been unfortunate that we’ve had bad luck from the start of the year.

“But we’ll certainly look forward to going back to Foxhall, and let’s hope we can come away with a win from there.”
