PREVIEW: LEICESTER v BELLE VUE (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

BELLE Vue can wrap up top spot in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership as they visit Leicester tonight (Monday) in a clash of two play-off qualifiers.

The Aces need to avoid defeat at the Hydroscand Arena in order to be officially confirmed as leaders, although the aggregate point is also likely to be enough.

The hosts booked their top four finish by beating King’s Lynn last week and they boast the only other 100 per cent home record in the league, including a narrow win over Belle Vue in July.

Leicester bring in Jordan Jenkins to guest for the retired Kyle Howarth at reserve, whilst the Aces are at full strength.

Lions manager Stewart Dickson said: “At the moment we want to build up as many points as we can and keep the momentum going, and we’re pretty dialled in at home.

“Hopefully that will continue on Monday but I expect a big test against what has been the best team in the league so far this season.

“They ran us very close at home last time and we will need to be at our best again. We really want to maintain an unbeaten home record through the league season.”

Aces star Jason Doyle said: “I knew I had big boots to fill with Dan (Bewley), so I needed to do at least 12 points a meeting, and it’s been enjoyable.

“Everything is so professional at Belle Vue, you don’t have to worry about anything. Lemo (Mark Lemon) is a really good team manager and the boys in the team all get along.

“But there’s a long way to go still, we’ve got the play-offs to come and there are no easy teams in this league.”
