PREVIEW: IPSWICH v SHEFFIELD (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

IPSWICH and Sheffield both look to move closer to play-off qualification when they meet in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership at Foxhall tonight (Monday).

The visitors will secure a top four finish if they avoid defeat in Suffolk, whilst the Witches have two home matches this week and victories in both will be enough regardless of aggregate points.

Ipswich again bring in their former rider Adam Ellis to guest for the injured Scott Nicholls, whilst Sheffield operate rider replacement at No.1 for Jack Holder.

Witches Rising Star Jason Edwards said: “I would just be happy if we can get in and get another two meetings. The way the play-offs works, anything can happen. It all starts from zero.

“The first time we went to Belle Vue this season, they needed a tactical substitute in Heat 7, so who knows what will happen?

“It will be nice to do two meetings in one week at the same place, especially when it’s not miles and miles away from home for me. That always helps.”

Tigers boss Simon Stead said: “We know we’re edging closer, but there’s still work to be done.

“The lads have all rallied together in recent things to really get things back on track and it would be nice if we could get the job done with two regular league fixtures to go on Monday.

“Earlier in the season when we went to Ipswich we were bitterly disappointed to come away empty-handed – we know we need better than that collectively this time around.”
