PREVIEW: PLYMOUTH v KING’S LYNN (NDT)

KING’S Lynn look to extend their 100 per cent record in the National Development Trophy when they visit Plymouth tonight (Saturday).

It’s four out of four in the NDT for the Young Stars so far this season, and they track a revised riding order at the Coliseum with Cooper Rushen moving up into the main body of the team.

Arran Butcher replaces the unavailable Ashton Vale for the visitors, whilst the hosts operate rider replacement for Morgan Williams.

Young Stars manager Jason Pipe said: “Our lads are all developing as we go along, which is proven by our new set of averages that we recently were given and IF we were to win the league, then that would be a great bonus and a job well done.

“But we can’t count those chickens yet as we are only at the halfway stage and even though we are unbeaten in four, we still have four hard meetings to race in starting with our trip to Plymouth this Saturday.

“The Centurions have started off their home season with a win and I’m sure their boss, Barry Bishop, will have his boys ready for this, as they’ll not just be seeing this as a good chance of another home win, but I’m sure they’d love to stop our unbeaten run!

“We need to make sure on Saturday that we are up for it from the start, because Plymouth is never an easy place to go to and get a result, and even though their team may look a little weaker than ours, on paper, they have riders who can spring a surprise or two.”
