KEMP’S SILVER SUCCESS

DREW Kemp enjoyed a strong finish to the season with victory in Redcar’s Teeside Silver Helmet on Saturday.

The 2026 Leicester and Workington rider came through the semi-final after being ranked fifth from the qualifying races with eleven points.

Richard Lawson and Chris Harris were the direct qualifiers for the Final, but it was Kemp who took the honours ahead of Lawson and Leon Flint with Harris fourth in the decisive race.

Former World Champion Jason Doyle, who had won the Premiership title with Belle Vue one night earlier, was the pre-meeting favourite – but his night ended with a crash in his opening ride.
