DOUBLE RETURN FOR CHEETAHS

OXFORD have announced returns for skipper Sam Masters and popular youngster Luke Killeen as the Cheetahs’ planning for 2027 takes shape.

The Cowley club will be targeting a move up the Cab Direct Championship after collecting the wooden spoon this year, but two of their most familiar faces will be back in the side.

Masters has been with Oxford at second tier level since 2023, whilst Killeen has been part of the club ever since their revival one year earlier and has represented them in all tiers of the sport.

Said Masters: “There’s no place I’d rather be than back at Oxford. I’m not one to change teams and I don’t like changing teams.

“I was with Edinburgh for eight years and next year is my fifth season with Oxford.

“Oxford is such a good club and it was always in my heart to come back here. I get on with everyone here and I enjoy it. I’m already looking forward to next year with Oxford.”
