HEATHENS PAIR WIN AT BUXTON

BUXTON’S Best Pairs event at Hi-Edge on Sunday was won by the partnership taking the Cradley Heathens name.

The returning Jason Garrity, racing his first meeting since 2019, lowered the track record and dropped just one point in the meeting, and was joined by Will Boraston for an overall 20-point total.

That meant they finished one point ahead of both Buxton Bulls and Wolverhampton Wolves who scored 19. The home side had a maximum man in Alfie Bowtell who scored 15, backed up by Joe Crewe on four, whilst Jack Roberts and Ryan Ashcroft scored 13 and six respectively for the Wolves.

Garrity said: “It was good to be back on a bike and I enjoyed riding, and it’s good to win the meeting. I’m just going to get my head down and enjoy riding my bike.”
