PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v OXFORD (CAB DIRECT CHAMP)

EDINBURGH host a much-changed Oxford side at Armadale tonight (Friday) with the Cheetahs having suffered a double blow in midweek.

Luke Killeen is ruled out with concussion after a Heat 8 crash in Wednesday’s Cup defeat to Poole, and the same incident also involved Darryl Ritchings who is unable to make the trip north.

The visitors bring in Ben Morley and Ashton Vale, and they also have Alfie Bowtell standing in for Mitch McDiarmid who is on Polish duty, along with rider replacement for Erik Riss.

The Monarchs, who are seeking to make it two Cab Direct Championship wins out of two, bring in Drew Kemp to guest for injured No.1 Dan Thompson.

Edinburgh manager Alex Harkess said: “We need everybody at their absolute best, that’s what it is all about – everyone must do what they are capable of doing.

“I think we can beat everyone, certainly at home, but the trouble is we don’t get everybody doing their very best all the time, at once.

“It will be nice to welcome Sam (Masters) back, he’s always welcome at Edinburgh of course, and he has been very much part of our club.”

EDINBURGH: Drew Kemp, Jonatan Grahn, Justin Sedgmen, Paco Castagna, Kye Thomson, Mitchell Cluff, Jordy Loftus.

OXFORD: Sam Masters, Erik Riss R/R, Alfie Bowtell, Ben Morley, Anders Rowe, Ashton Vale, Dayle Wood.

SCB Referee: Chris Durno
