PREVIEW: BERWICK v WORKINGTON (CAB DIRECT CHAMP)

BERWICK and Workington are set to meet twice in under 24 hours with their first clash coming tonight (Saturday) at Shielfield Park.

The Bandits are unbeaten at home in the Cab Direct Championship but they are seven points off the play-offs having been unable to open their account on the road.

They will again be without Jordan Jenkins, who has been sidelined after scans revealed two potential vertebrae fractures in his lower back after a recent crash at Leicester.

Jenkins said: “It’s even more frustrating that I’ve managed to race three times on a possibly broken back, with Wednesday being the best performance I’ve ever had at Poole!

“I’ll be seeking alternative treatments to speed up the healing process and aim to be back in a few weeks.”
