PREVIEW: PLYMOUTH v POOLE (CAB DIRECT CHAMP)

UNBEATEN Poole face arguably their strongest Cab Direct Championship test tonight (Saturday) when they travel to Plymouth without two riders.

The Pirates welcome back Will Cairns after Friday’s SGP2 meeting in Lodz where he finished sixth, leaving him just five points off third place overall with one round remaining.

But captain Zach Cook is missing as he is racing in Poland on Sunday, for which only a 75% ‘reduced facility’ is permissible.

Luke Harrison comes in at No.5 for the Pirates, who had intended to track Edward Kennett as a guest at reserve for Fraser Bowes until he was injured on Friday. Dayle Wood now stands in at No.6.

The Gladiators are at full strength with new averages for August seeing Scott Nicholls take over in the No.1 position.

PLYMOUTH: Scott Nicholls, Joe Thompson, Daniel Klima, Ben Barker, Danny King, Anze Grmek, Ben Whalley.
POOLE: Richard Lawson, Will Cairns, Lewis Kerr, Cooper Rushen, Luke Harrison, Dayle Wood, Kyle Newman.

SCB Referee: Paul Carrington
