HARRISON HAPPY WITH DEBUT CAMPAIGN

SCUNTHORPE youngster Luke Harrison is targeting a place in the top-flight after impressing during his first season at senior level.

Harrison has been a high-scoring reserve for the Scorpions in recent weeks and he racked up a 12-point haul in the first leg of the BSN Series Final against Poole on Sunday.

He said: “It’s nice that the management and riders have appreciated how I’m come on during the season and selected me as their Rider of the Year.

“I want to make further progress in the Championship next season, while I hope I’ve put myself in the shop window for the Premiership. I want to take the confidence from this season into next year.

“I’ve been coming to Scunthorpe Speedway since before I could walk. I know quite a few of the fans personally and to now have their support, I couldn’t appreciate it more.”
