PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v OXFORD (WSRA NDL)

EDINBURGH bid to extend their 100 per cent record in the WSRA National Development League when they host defending champions Oxford at Armadale tonight (Friday).

The Monarchs Academy embark on the second half of their schedule with a maximum 12 points on the board so far, whilst the Chargers have won one of their four away matches so far.

The home side operate rider replacement for James Shanes who is withholding services, whilst the visitors bring in youngster Casper Kluczniak to guest for the retired Mason Watson.

Edinburgh manager Scott Wilson said: “The team’s character is not something that concerns me, they all believe in themselves and each other and truly believe they can beat anyone.

“I will need them all to bring that positive mindset and be at their best on Friday against a good Oxford side who are capable of causing us problems.”

Chargers boss Peter Schroeck said: “There is no doubt that there’s a lot of strength in the Edinburgh side. But I feel we’re strong too, especially since Senna Summers returned from injury. If we can quickly adapt to the track, we can give them a decent match.

“Casper Kluczniak is a good rider – he’s demonstrated that in the British Youth Championship. But there’s no pressure on him – we just want him to enjoy his evening and show what he can do.”
