BRITS PROGRESS IN KUMLA

AFTER two tough semi-finals, Great Britain will have all three of their 250cc representatives taking part in today’s (Sunday) European Final in Kumla, Sweden.

In Saturday’s first semi-final, Archie Rolph scored a fantastic ten points from his opening four heats, and it was only due to a retirement in his final ride that he failed to make the rostrum; however, more importantly, he qualified in fourth place to make the Final.

In the second semi-final, Oli Bovingdon – again on his European debut – matched Rolph’s score of ten points, and this was enough to finish in sixth place and join Rolph in the Final.

Unluckiest rider of the day was Seth Norman, who scored seven points from four of his rides – however, a fall when in a scoring position in the other cost him dearly and he takes a place as reserve today, in the hope that there is an opportunity of a race or two.
