BRENNAN READY FOR EURO TEST

IPSWICH star Tom Brennan makes his debut as a full-time Speedway Euro Championship rider when the series gets underway in Poland today (Saturday).

Brennan secured one of five nominated wild card places in the competition, which runs over four rounds with the overall winner collecting a place in the 2026 Grand Prix series.

The opening event is on Brennan’s home Polish track of Bydgoszcz, and the SEC then visits Gustrow (Germany), Leszno (Poland) and Pardubice (Czech Rep).

Brennan said: “I’ve certainly been waiting a long time for it, but I do feel now I’m ready.

“I think if I’d had it a couple of years ago, maybe it would have been a little premature, but we’re here now, we’re ready, and all I can do now is put my head down.

“In terms of results, it’s more a matter of being around it. I believe I’m good enough to be there, I’m clearly good enough to be there, so it will be a matter of making sure that all the pieces come together.”
