LIONS INTO TOP THREE
LEICESTER moved up to third position in the Championship with a 54-36 win over Glasgow at the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena.
Guest Steve Worrall scored a 12-point maximum as the Lions climbed above the Tigers in the league table, with the Ashfield side suffering a second defeat on the road in two nights.
Hans Andersen added 10 points in a solid Lions display with Kyle Howarth and Ryan Douglas also paid for double figures, whilst Craig Cook scored 10 for Glasgow and Broc Nicol had three wins and three lasts.
Leicester boss Stewart Dickson said: “It was a great performance, and I don’t think the result flattered us in any way. It was a good solid team performance securing three points and we sent one of our rivals for a play-off spot up the road empty handed.
“We didn’t start off strongly, but we soon came into our own and the track rode pretty well.
“All in all, it was a good performance, and I was pleased for the Thompson twins after a tough meeting at Scunthorpe on Friday.”
