TRIGGER REJOINS LION CUBS

LEICESTER have made Ben Trigger their first signing as they prepare to defend the National Development League title next season.

Trigger’s first spell in the NDL was with the Lion Cubs back in 2021 and he has since had spells with Plymouth, Mildenhall and Middlesbrough, topping the averages with the latter this year.

He said: “History is re-writing itself and it’s great to be going back to where we first started out.

“I remember getting my first National League heat win at Leicester and the crowd went insane, I still watch the video of that race now and again!

“The fans were really good during my first year there, and I’m looking forward to proving why I’m going back, and hopefully seal the deal of winning their hearts again.”
