PREVIEW: OXFORD v MIDDLESBROUGH (WSRA NDL)
WSRA National Development League champions Oxford commence their defence of the silverware when they host Middlesbrough at Cowley today (Sunday).
The Chargers have reloaded for 2026 with only two changes to their title-winning side, as Mason Watson and Harry Fletcher make their debuts.
The Tigers have redeclared their line-up since their defeat at Leicester last week with Jade Mudgway named in the side in place of Ben Trigger.
Oxford manager Peter Schroeck said: “The Chargers have had a lot of success over the last few years, winning a couple of NDL titles. But for me, progression is always the key with this side.
“Middlesbrough have a strong line-up this season and will give us a good test in our opening meeting.
“The weather is set fair and it’s going to be a terrific Sunday afternoon of action and ideal for families to attend.”
