PREVIEW: BUXTON v LEICESTER (Ch)

BUXTON host Leicester at the Hi-Edge Raceway today (Sunday) in the first leg of a challenge fixture between the two clubs.

Having been frustrated by the weather in the East Midlands a fortnight ago, the Bulls now host the opener with Jack Roberts and Alex Spooner added to their line-up, whilst rider replacement is in operation for Jack Smith who is racing for his Championship club Berwick.

Buxton manager Laurence Rogers said: “It’s another chance for the lads to get dialled into the track here and to see how we go against a Leicester side that have already won their opening league meeting and are in good form.

“Hi-Edge though is very different to the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park so it will also be a challenge for them and hopefully we can get a victory under our belts.”

Lion Cubs manager Jen Crossland said: “Some of the elder riders in the side have been there before, and obviously Ben Morley will have ridden there on several occasions.

“For most of us it’s a case of having a look at things when we get there and we’ll prepare for it as best we can. We’re looking forward to racing there and we have a team that definitely wants to win!”
