PREVIEW: MIDDLESBROUGH v BUXTON (WSRA NDL)

MIDDLESBROUGH are boosted by the return of Ace Pijper for tonight’s (Saturday) WSRA National Development League clash with Buxton.

The Tigers are bidding to avoid a fourth straight defeat and the news that Pijper is back in their ranks, after missing a heavy home loss to King’s Lynn last week, is a boost.

Pijper has been sidelined with a back injury suffered in a crash whilst practicing, but he has been recuperating in his father Theo’s native Holland.

Theo explained: “Ace has been having quite a lot of physio here and it seems like everything is OK so he is certainly riding again.

“He’s done a bit of motocross and the back has held up well, although he naturally has been complaining of a few aches and pains where he has been off of a bike for a couple of weeks.”

The home side operate rider replacement for the retired Jade Mudgway whilst the Bulls have Jake Mulford guesting for the injured Jack Smith.
