PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v STEELERS (WSRA NDL)

EDINBURGH host the Steelers at Armadale in the WSRA National Development League tonight (Friday) as they look to keep their title hopes alive.

The Monarchs Academy are one of three teams who could end the season on top, with matches to come against rivals Oxford and Leicester as well as a trip to Belle Vue.

They make two changes for the meeting as Matt Marson has returned to Australia and Mark Parker has surprised the club by announcing his retirement. Junior league rider Liam Greens comes in along with r/r for Parker.

The Steelers are severely affected by injury and unavailability with Stene Pijper, Jack Shimelt and Laylen Richardson all coming into the side.

Edinburgh boss Scott Wilson said: “There’s no doubt we are outsiders to win the league, but the fact is it remains a possibility, and I have stressed to the team that we must do our job and apply pressure to the top two in the hope that they slip up. We’ll certainly need four wins to do it, starting on Friday.”
