LION CUBS SLAM BULLS

LEICESTER raced to an emphatic WSRA National Development League victory over Buxton with Ryan Ingram scoring a paid maximum.

The Lion Cubs won 61-29, having previously defeated the Bulls by 30 points in a challenge fixture earlier this season, and Ingram was unbeaten with 14+1 from his five rides.

Freddy Hodder added 14, Ben Morley 12 and Tom Spencer scored a bonus point in all five outings as he ended on 9+5, being involved in four 5-1s.

Alfie Bowtell provided the Bulls’ two race wins as he finished on 9+1.

Leicester manager Jen Crossland said:  “What a performance from all of them. I’m so pleased with everyone.

“I took the decision for Heat 15 that we’d go with Ben and Eli (Meadows) so that everyone had five rides, so that made it fair, and it was a great team display.”

Buxton boss Laurence Rogers said: “It was a tough day at the office for us today against a very good side that are likely to be unbeaten around their own circuit this season. 

“Obviously we are disappointed by the scoreline but we have to admit that Leicester were the better side on the day.”
