PREVIEW: IPSWICH v KING’S LYNN (Sports Insure Prem)

IPSWICH look to keep their play-off push on track when they host King’s Lynn in a local derby at Foxhall tonight (Thursday).

The Witches are on a four-match winning run, three of them away from home, and are desperate to capitalise on any slip-ups from the other top four contenders.

They operate rider replacement for Keynan Rew who racing in the SON2 in Latvia on Friday, whilst the Stars are forced into several changes with Emil Breum and Anders Rowe absent for the same reason, whilst Thomas Jorgensen and Michael Palm Toft are out injured.

Benjamin Basso, Connor Mountain and Sam Hagon stand in for the visitors.

Ipswich manager Ritchie Hawkins said: “We will be heavy favourites to win against a patched-up King’s Lynn side and we need to do a professional job and carry on our run of wins and make sure we don’t give them a sniff.

“We need to dominate and make sure we win the meeting and not make life hard for ourselves.

“We always talk about it being a local derby, and we have beaten them a couple of times and we need to carry on that run.”

Stars manager David Hoggart said: “In terms of Michael, he has had a practice this week and all being well he plans to race at Scunthorpe on Friday, so he will then hopefully be back with us next week.

“We know Ipswich is a difficult place to go, and Artem (Laguta) will be seeing it for the first time, but Nicolai (Klindt) goes reasonably well around there. It’s going to be tough, but we’ll be going there and giving it our very best.”
