PREVIEW: BRITISH U21 QUALIFIER, WORKINGTON

WORKINGTON stage the biggest meeting of their relaunch today (Sunday) when they host the British Under-21 Qualifier at Northside.

Only six places are available for the Final at Glasgow in July, with an afternoon of intense action expected.

The Comets themselves have four representatives in the field with Ace Pijper, Elliot Kelly, and Harry and Sam McGurk all featuring, although Luke Harrison will not be involved as he is not currently race-fit following his recent injury lay-off.

Promoter Andrew Bain said: “When we were told we were going to be hosting the event we were delighted, our goal was to be hosting events like this but we did not expect to be doing it in our comeback year.

“It’s going to be a fantastic day with some of the best young British talent on show. I just hope the fans come out in force to show their support – particularly for the Comets lads on the day.”
