INJURED THOMAS SET FOR SURGERY

JACK Thomas has suffered a major injury setback after crashing during practice on Thursday.

Thomas was one of several riders in action at Scunthorpe to prepare for the new season, in which he is scheduled to line up for Ipswich as Rising Star in the Premiership and Poole in the Cab Direct Championship.

But he has reported he has suffered two broken vertebrae, a broken neck, bruised lungs and broken ribs.

Posting on Facebook, Thomas wrote: “Looking like I’m being transferred to Hull this morning to see a neurosurgeon. Fingers crossed getting fixed up, still got feeling.”
