KINGS READY FOR THE OFF

KENT have been given the go-ahead for opening night at Central Park on May 18 assuming restrictions are eased as planned the previous day.

The Kings are due to host Leicester in their first Championship fixture and have had confirmation from Swale Borough Council that they can proceed subject to the expected rules relating to Covid security.

Promoter Len Silver said: “Fans will be asked to respect the rules about social distancing and face coverings are preferred.

“On May 18 the stadium will be open from 5pm and, to help avoid any congestion, fans are asked to arrive as early as possible.

“I have to mention that Swale Council have been very helpful and keen to see us racing again.”

All tickets are to be pre-sold and will be available from the stadium direct from May 10 (10am-4pm) or can be purchased by phone on 01795 475547.
