WORRALL WINS IT FOR TIGERS

CAB Direct Championship holders Glasgow completed a weekend double over Berwick despite a controversial finish at Shielfield Park on Saturday.

The Tigers notched their first away win in the league this season with a 47-43 victory, coming back from six points down to lead by four heading into Heat 15.

In that race skipper Chris Harris was disqualified as he was judged to be the cause of Drew Kemp coming to grief – but Steve Worrall saw the visitors through in the re-run.

It was a meeting where the Tigers’ heat-leaders excelled with Harris scoring 14, Worrall 11+1 and Leon Flint 11 on his old home track.

Kemp was the only rider to defeat Harris in a completed race as he scored 9+1, but the Bandits suffered their third home defeat of the league campaign.

Glasgow boss Cami Brown said: “I’m over the moon, it’s a great result for the club and the fans.

“The boys fought really hard for that win. The decision to exclude Chris in Heat 15 was very poor. I’m just glad we got over the line.

“Steve was the coolest man in the stadium to win the decider and that’s all that counts. Chris was outstanding all night and didn’t deserve for his meeting to end like that.”
