BRUMMIES’ LINDGREN DELAY

BIRMINGHAM have confirmed they must wait for World No.2 Fredrik Lindgren to make his debut.

The Brummies had hoped to include the Swede, who finished second in Saturday’s Czech Republic Grand Prix (pictured), in time for this week’s Premiership KO Cup semi-final clashes with Ipswich, but the essential paperwork is not yet in place.

They are therefore set to name an unchanged team against the Witches whilst they await the necessary clearance on Lindgren.

CEO Nigel Tolley said: “We cannot say exactly when this will be but we would like to think it will be released soon as the application has been submitted and is being processed.

“As the club’s management, we totally understand how supporters will be feeling as they learn of this news, but we plead with them to still turn out in big numbers on Monday with us being just two meetings away from a big Cup Final.”
