NAYLOR BLOW FOR ROYALS

KENT reserve Rhys Naylor faces a period on the sidelines with cracked ribs and damage to his left knee.

Naylor was involved in a heavy Heat 2 crash during the home defeat by Leicester on Sunday, and was withdrawn from the meeting after taking his place in the re-run of that race.

Manager Jamie Willis said: “Losing Rhys after Heat 2 was a major blow and I’m sure the result would have been different had he been riding.

“It’s unfortunately looking as if he’ll be out for a short amount of time so once again it gives Si (Kellow) and I another headache to deal with. We’ve really had no luck this season.”
