PREVIEW: BELLE VUE v EDINBURGH (NDL)

BELLE Vue co-boss Graham Goodwin says all three points are the target from tonight’s (Friday) NDL clash with Edinburgh.

The Monarchs Academy won the reverse fixture 50-40 but the Colts have an impressive home record and raced to a huge home victory over Kent last time on their own circuit.

Belle Vue are at full strength whilst the visitors have injury problems and bring in Connor Coles, Ashton Boughen and Mark Parker, as well as using rider replacement, with Jacob Hook, Alex Spooner and Kyran Lyden all sidelined whilst Adam Roynon is on senior duty for Glasgow.

Goodwin said: “This is another must-win meeting for us. The boys performed very well against Kent, but we’ve still got quite a hill to climb to make the play offs.

“Edinburgh will be making things difficult for us. They’ve been very clever with the team they’re bringing to Belle Vue in terms of their choice of guests in particular.

“It’s going to be a tough one but the lads know their way around their home track. I mean, who’d have thought they’d go out and do what they did against Kent?

“They’re full of confidence right now. We know they’ll go out there and give it their best shot, and if we can grab the aggregate point as well, so much the better.”

BELLE VUE: James Pearson, Matt Marson, Sam Hagon, Freddy Hodder, Jack Smith, Paul Bowen, Luke Muff.
EDINBURGH: Connor Coles, Alex Spooner r/r, Mark Parker, Ashton Boughen, Max Clegg, Mickie Simpson, Dayle Wood.
