KERR TO CAPTAIN EAGLES

LEWIS Kerr has been appointed captain of Eastbourne for the new Championship season.

Kerr, after a successful first season with the club in 2019, takes over from Edward Kennett who is to focus on his role as No.1 in the team.

Co-promoter Trevor Geer said: “Lewi will do a great job, we’re sure.

“He is a great team player on and off the track, seems to thrive in the pressure situations, will be a great help to all of his team-mates and is entirely comfortable in the public relations side of the role.

“We know he will be backed fully by all of his team-mates and everyone across the management team.”
