HALDER BLOW FOR LION CUBS

LEICESTER are on the lookout for a new signing at NDL level after Jamie Halder broke his ankle in an accident at home.

Halder, who was set to return to the Lion Cubs after being injured in his first meeting of the 2019 season, had surgery on Monday to plate the ankle.

Co-promoter Stewart Dickson said: “It’s such a blow both to Jamie himself and the Roger Webster Lion Cubs.

“The first thing we have to say is to wish Jamie well for a speedy recovery and we hope to see him back at the stadium soon.

“In the meantime, with our first meeting on Wednesday May 19 I am actively looking to sign a replacement and will update everyone in due course.”
