GB YOUNGSTERS IN U19 FINAL
GREAT Britain youngsters Drew Kemp, Leon Flint and Jordan Palin all compete in Saturday’s FIM European Under-19 Final in Latvia.
The trio finished second, third and fourth respectively in their semi-final in the Czech Republic in June, whilst Dan Gilkes has also travelled to Riga as reserve after narrowly missing out on qualification from his semi in Hungary.
The meeting is further experience for the promising quartet, who all represented GP in the European Under-23 qualifier in Germany last weekend.
Youth boss Neil Vatcher said: “This is a relatively new competition and has only been running for a couple of seasons now, and each year the standard gets higher and higher.
“This year’s Final is extremely tough and looking at the starting list all 16 riders are of a very high standard – but to be honest this is a European Final, so we would not expect there to be any easy races!”
The meeting gets underway at 2.15pm UK time.
