PREVIEW: WOLVERHAMPTON v BELLE VUE (Sports Insure Prem)

WOLVERHAMPTON host Belle Vue at Monmore Green tonight (Monday) as two of the current top three in the Sports Insure Premiership meet.

Wolves boast a 100 per cent home record with six wins out of six, but they were taken to a last-heat decider the last time the Aces visited the West Midlands venue.

The visitors start the meeting seven points clear at the top of the table, and with the aggregate point very much within their grasp after a 57-33 win in the reverse fixture last week.

Wolves operate rider replacement for the injured Luke Becker, whilst Connor Bailey makes his debut in the Rising Star position for the Aces.

Wolves boss Peter Adams said: “Belle Vue are romping away at the top of the league, and they’re a very difficult opponent.

“I think the aggregate point from that particular tussle is probably gone if we’re being honest.

“But for us to maintain our position we need to pick up at least the two points for the win on the night. It should be a great match and hopefully we’ll get the big crowd this sort of fixture deserves.”

Aces star Norick Blodorn said: “I don’t think anyone expected us to win as heavily as we did at home last week, and that was a major confidence boost for the team going into Monday.

“Wolverhampton aren’t going to make it easy for us when we go back to Monmore Green. They are a powerful team on their home track and we need to be prepared for them.

“But we’ve shown that we have got what it takes to really push them, and I think if we want it badly enough we absolutely can go there and take the win this time.”

WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Steve Worrall, Luke Becker R/R, Ryan Douglas, Rory Schlein, Zach Cook, Leon Flint.
BELLE VUE: Dan Bewley, Norick Blodorn, Jaimon Lidsey, Charles Wright, Brady Kurtz, Tom Brennan, Connor Bailey.
