PREVIEW: SCUNTHORPE v EDINBURGH (Cab Direct Champ)

SCUNTHORPE are seeking a home win over Edinburgh tonight (Friday) to move into the top three in the Cab Direct Championship.

The Scorpions recorded their record breaking away with at Armadale earlier in the season with a 54-36 result, so victory will also give them the aggregate point.

The home side bring in Zach Cook to guest for the injured Michael Palm Toft, whilst the Monarchs have rider replacement in operation for Paco Castagna who remains on the sidelines.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “We are going for a big three points against Edinburgh, having got the away win at their place in the bag earlier in the season.

“If we manage to collect all three, that will be a boost after we dropped a point last Friday against Oxford.

“No doubt the Monarchs will be after revenge, and we’ll treat them with every respect, but if we ride to our capabilities, then I fully believe we can win the meeting.

“Josh Pickering is one of the most spectacular visitors around the EWR, but Ryan (Douglas), Simon (Lambert), Jake (Allen) and the rest of our boys will be looking to lower his colours.”

SCUNTHORPE: Ryan Douglas, Drew Kemp, Simon Lambert, Zach Cook, Jake Allen, Nathan Ablitt, Connor Mountain.
EDINBURGH: Josh Pickering, Paco Castagna r/r, Bastian Borke, Kye Thomson, Craig Cook, Dayle Wood, Lasse Fredriksen.
