PREVIEW: OXFORD v BELLE VUE (NDL)

OXFORD have skipper Jordan Jenkins back at No.1 for tonight’s (Wednesday) NDL clash with Belle Vue at Cowley.

Jenkins missed the Chargers’ recent trips to the National Speedway Stadium and Mildenhall due to concussion protocols but made a successful return for Peterborough in the Premiership on Monday.

Elsewhere for the hosts, Sam Woods comes at reserve for the injured Luke Killeen, whilst the Colts name a full-strength side with Paul Bowen back after missing the reverse fixture.

Chargers boss Peter Schroeck said: “This meeting has all the ingredients to be a real thriller. We’re determined to make Oxford Stadium our fortress in the National League this year, but equally Belle Vue will want to complete the double against us.

“We’ve got Jordan back in the side which is a real boost, and Sam has plenty of experience at this level coming in as an unattached three-point guest at reserve.

“It’s a key fixture and one we want to take control of in the early stages.”

Colts No.2 Luke Muff said: “It’s going to be a tough night, so we need to get our heads down, knuckle down and see where things take us, but a win on the night is definitely not out of the question.

“We’ve given ourselves a great chance of coming away with the aggregate point at minimum, after the way we performed at home, but we really want all three if we can.”

OXFORD: Jordan Jenkins, Jacob Clouting, Henry Atkins, Jody Scott, Ryan Kinsley, Sam Woods, Jacob Fellows.
BELLE VUE: Jack Smith, Luke Muff, Sam Hagon, Matt Marson, James Pearson, Paul Bowen, Freddy Hodder.
