PREVIEW: OXFORD v LEICESTER (NDL PO SF)

OXFORD and Leicester kick off the NDL play-offs as the league leaders travel to Cowley in the first leg of their semi-final tonight (Wednesday).

The Lion Cubs confirmed top spot by beating Berwick on Saturday whilst the Chargers held on to fourth place due to Belle Vue’s failure take at least a point from Armadale one night earlier.

Oxford are still without heat-leader Nathan Stoneman and operate rider replacement, whilst youngster Ashton Boughen comes in at reserve for the injured Arran Butcher. The visitors are at full strength.

Leicester boss Dave Howard said: “Oxford have strengthened their team as they’ve gone through the season, bringing in youngster Jody Scott who has done really well, along with Henry Atkins.

“They will be really tough opponents, but we’ve beaten them at home before and we’ve drawn there as well – and we’d be happy with those results again!”
