PREVIEW: POOLE v LEICESTER (PO SF)

POOLE host Leicester in the first leg of the Championship play-off semi-final at Wimborne Road tonight (Wednesday).

The Pirates had been waiting on news of their confirmed opponents, and received it last night when the Lions officially got past Scunthorpe at the previous stage.

Poole recently got the better of Leicester over two legs in the KO Cup, and again bring in Zach Cook to guest for the injured Stefan Nielsen at reserve. Leicester, meanwhile, have called up Chris Harris to replace Hans Andersen.

Lions boss Stewart Dickson said: “We need to try to keep the tie alive, that’s very important. Poole are very good around their own circuit and they’ve chosen wisely with their guest again, which I expected them to do.

“We need to perform better as a team there, and Wednesday gives us another chance. We need to keep the tie alive for the second leg, that’s the big thing for me.”

POOLE: Steve Worrall, Danyon Hume, Rory Schlein, Ben Cook, Danny King, Zach Cook, Benjamin Basso.
LEICESTER: Nick Morris, Ryan Douglas, Dan Thompson, Kyle Howarth, Chris Harris, Joe Thompson, Zaine Kennedy.
