ACES HONOURED AT SPORTS AWARDS

PREMIERSHIP champions Belle Vue are celebrating major local recognition after being honoured at the 2022 Manchester Sports Awards.

The Aces, who secured their first top-flight title in nearly 30 years when they triumphed over Sheffield in the Grand Final back in October, scooped the Outstanding Contribution Award.

CEO and team manager Mark Lemon said: “What we have achieved as a club this year is nothing short of incredible, and we are delighted to be recognised by our peers for everything we have accomplished both on and off the track.

“Not only did we win the Premiership, but we have been engaging in more community incentives with local neighbourhood groups and the new HideOut facility on Hyde Road, a patron of whom is our principal partner ATPI.

“We are very grateful to Manchester City Council, who have been incredibly supportive of the work we are doing for speedway in Manchester and who continue to back us as we move forwards.

“Our thanks also to our amazing sponsors and partners for their role in our Premiership victory, and to our brilliant supporters who are second to none in their support of this great club.”
