PREVIEW: LEICESTER v BELLE VUE (WSRA NDL)

LEICESTER defend a 100 per cent record in the WSRA National Development League when they host Belle Vue today (Sunday).

The Lion Cubs have won all three of their matches so far, including 49-38 in the reverse fixture at the National Speedway Stadium on Good Friday.

Both sides are at full strength with an intriguing sub-plot seeing Sam Hagon line up at No.1 for the Colts up against home skipper Joe Thompson – with Hagon having recently been signed by Leicester in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership to take Thompson’s place as Rising Star.

Lion Cubs boss Dave Howard said: “All of the team have performed very well so far, and they all have the confidence to push in every race.

“With the NDL this season just being decided from the regular season ten meetings, we need to keep our strong home record going, and it will be a challenge again as the Colts will be giving their all.”

Colts co-boss Steve Williams said: “Leicester were very strong in Manchester and made a point of capitalising on the fact that we were understrength that day.

“This time, though, we have a full contingent and are ready to show just what we can do and what we can bring to the National League this year.”

LEICESTER: Joe Thompson, Vinnie Foord, Tom Spencer, Arran Butcher, Max James, Luke Crang, Sonny Springer.
BELLE VUE: Sam Hagon, Chad Wirtzfeld, Matt Marson, Luke Muff, Freddy Hodder, Jack Shimelt, Harry McGurk.
SCB Referee: Chris Durno
