PREVIEW: SHEFFIELD v LEICESTER (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

SHEFFIELD are forced into two changes for tonight’s (Thursday) ROWE Motor Oil Premiership home clash with Leicester.

Josh Pickering and Rising Star Dan Gilkes both miss out at Owlerton after recent crashes, with the Tigers bringing in Rory Schlein and Jake Mulford to guest.

The Lions have not raced for three weeks and hand a debut to their recent new signing Sam Hagon in the Rising Star berth.

Sheffield star Chris Holder said: “Leicester have got a really solid top five and they’re going to be difficult to turn over.

“They’ve got Max (Fricke) at No.1, who’s been going good, and while they don’t have any other massive names, every one of their boys can beat anybody.

“So it’s not going to be easy by any means and we’re going to have to be ready to rock and roll from Heat 1 and all contribute to the points if we want to make up for last week.”

Leicester boss Stewart Dickson said: “We know Sheffield, up until last week, have been very, very good at home, and I do think the fact they were missing Jason Edwards in that meeting cost them a home win.

“I’ve always said Ipswich and Sheffield are the two best teams, in my opinion, and Thursday will be another tough encounter for us.

“But if we can get all seven firing at one time, you never know. We’re already down on the aggregate point so it’s tough, but we will certainly go there and try to give a good account of ourselves as we always do.”

SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Rory Schlein, Chris Holder, Kyle Howarth, Tai Woffinden, Jason Edwards, Jake Mulford.
LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Richard Lawson, Ryan Douglas, Sam Masters, Luke Becker, Drew Kemp, Sam Hagon.
SCB Referee: Chris Durno
