PREVIEW: SHEFFIELD v KING’S LYNN (ROWE Motor Oil Prem)

DEFENDING champions Sheffield finally get to race at home tonight (Thursday) as King’s Lynn visit Owlerton.

Despite being frustrated by the weather so far, the Tigers have still made a strong start in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership with four points from three away matches.

Meanwhile the Stars travel without Niels-Kristian Iversen and Benjamin Basso, who have both been ruled out after a crashes in Denmark this week.

Tom Brennan comes in to guest for the visitors, who have also booked Richard Lawson to take Iversen’s place in the return fixture next Monday.

Sheffield manager Simon Stead said: “I do think King’s Lynn will be a tough contest though because they’ve got a very good team this year in my opinion.

Tobi (Tobiasz Musielak) is obviously no stranger and he’ll have a point to prove coming back to Sheffield of course.

“But if we continue from where we left off at Leicester then I’m hopeful we can come out on top again in what should be another great contest.”

King’s Lynn operations manager Dale Allitt said: “It’s a big blow to have this happen so early in the season, but the main thing is Niels’ health because it was a bad crash.

“We aren’t aware of any injuries other than the concussion, so we hope after the required period of rest he will be able to return in the near future.

“In the short term we’ll look to bring in the best guests we can on a match by match basis, and we thank Tom and Richard for doing the next two meetings for us.”

KING’S LYNN: Tobiasz Musielak, Niels-Kristian Iversen R/R, Michael Palm Toft, Tom Brennan, Vadim Tarasenko, Patryk Wojdylo, Anders Rowe.
