PREVIEW: OXFORD v BELLE VUE (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

OXFORD host leaders Belle Vue on a busy night of action in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership (Thursday) with six of the seven teams in action.

The Spires are targeting maximum points against the Aces, who won 51-39 when the teams met in Manchester last week.

Recent signing Craig Cook makes his home debut for Oxford, lining up at reserve against his former club, and the visitors are at full strength as they look to maintain top spot.

Spires boss Peter Schroeck said: “The boys go into the meeting knowing exactly what we need to do. It’s essential to win your home meetings, that’s the minimum, while we haven’t ruled out the aggregate point by any means because I feel we’re more than capable of pulling back the 12 points.

“Our track is very different to Belle Vue, plus four of their side haven’t ridden around our track before. Our track is very fair and it’s a track that many visiting riders enjoy, but we’ll be looking to be firing from the off and pulling those points back.”

Aces star Dan Bewley said: “Our away form has been improving with each match, but we need to be firing on all cylinders from the first race because Oxford are more than capable of winning at home.

“We’ve worked hard to get to the top of the Premiership, and we fully intend on staying there for as long as possible.”

OXFORD: Rohan Tungate, Erik Riss, Charles Wright, Maciej Janowski, Chris Harris, Craig Cook, Ashton Boughen.
BELLE VUE: Brady Kurtz, Norick Blodorn, Jaimon Lidsey, Ben Cook, Dan Bewley, Connor Mountain, Connor Bailey.
SCB Referee: Chris Gay
