PREVIEW: LEICESTER v NORTHAMPTON (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)
LEICESTER return to full strength for their home clash with Northampton at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park tonight (Thursday).
The Lions were without Dan Thompson for their defeat at Sheffield last week, but he is back in the side for their first match on their own circuit in five weeks.
It’s the second visit to the East Midlands for the Foxes whose one victory in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership so far came when the sides met at Brafield in mid-May.
Lions manager Stewart Dickson said: “I believe the way we line up now with Drew (Kemp) back at reserve gives us a better balance overall and I’m pleased with how we can set ourselves up for what is a busy month.
“Nick (Morris) has moved to No.5 as he’s been good at home this season, he’s just had an engine back and we saw how well he went at Berwick last weekend which is encouraging for us.
“Northampton will be tougher opponents than earlier this season when they had injuries, and our defeat there still really irks me, so we know what we have to do and we’re looking forward to these two home matches.”
Foxes promoter Paul Hunsdon said: “It was very frustrating on Monday night (against Ipswich) that again we just can’t get across the line in meetings.
“At the moment we’re not quite achieving what we want, so we need to ensure that we look very closely at what we can do to make sure that we start getting some results in the meetings that we’re losing.
“Away at Leicester on Thursday is a tough, tough meeting, then we’re away at King’s Lynn, and then we have a big one at home against Belle Vue – so we need to look at our options to see what we’re doing to make sure we’re as strong as possible against them!”
