PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v IPSWICH (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

KING’S Lynn go into the first of two home matches in five days with a big local derby against Ipswich at the Adrian Flux Arena tonight (Thursday).

The Stars slipped up last time out on their own circuit when they lost to Leicester, and they are also seeking to avenge results so far in 2026 against their rivals.

Jordan Jenkins makes his home debut, facing his former club, whilst the Witches go into the meeting holding a ten-point advantage for the aggregate point and boosted by their dramatic win at Northampton on Monday.

Danish rider Kevin Juhl Pedersen played a key role in that result in his first Premiership appearance, and he once again stands in for concussion victim Philip Hellstrom-Bangs.

King’s Lynn manager Rob Lyon said: “We’ve had three really ‘average’ performances at Ipswich this year, and we’ve lost at home to them in the Cup.

“So we certainly owe them two wins in the league with the home matches to come against them on Thursday and then in August.

“It’s time to get some wins under our belt if we’re going to make these play-offs.”

Juhl Pedersen said: “I just went in (at Northampton) with the mindset that I am just going to do the best I can do and ride it as it if was any other meeting.

“Ipswich had already told me before I came over that I could get a ride at King’s Lynn too, so I had already planned it with the mechanics. We will see what it leads to and take it from there.”
