PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v SHEFFIELD (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

KING’S Lynn aim to put pressure on Sheffield in the race for the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership play-offs when the meet at the Adrian Flux Arena tonight (Monday).

The Stars’ patchy home record leaves them currently outside the top four, but they did secure home and away wins in their previous clashes with the Tigers, including a dramatic turnaround victory in South Yorkshire recently.

King’s Lynn bring in Jason Edwards to guest at No.6 with Jordan Jenkins currently on the sidelines, whilst former Stars favourite Richard Lawson steps in for the injured Jack Holder at No.1 for the visitors.

Lynn boss Rob Lyon said: “Sheffield and Ipswich realistically are probably the two teams that are likely to be in the mix with us the way it’s going.

“I’m just hoping we can get to the play-offs and then really show our true potential as a team, which we had at the start of the season.

“Getting there is the first hurdle and it’s proving to be difficult and frustrating, but we’ll keep on fighting and hopefully it will be enough.”

Sheffield manager Simon Stead said: “Because they came and beat us at our place not so long back, I’m sure they will see this as an opportunity to get some more points on the board.

“But this fixture does not hold any fears for us; we’re going into it on the back of two really solid wins, and whilst we expect King’s Lynn to make it difficult for us, we’re going there to give it our best shot.”
